Opening its doors in 1957 with 59 employees, Waseca, MN became the home of Brown Printing Company.
Since that time, the Waseca operations have seen many changes. The current printing plant, located just west of downtown Waseca, has undergone 22 expansions over the years. Stretching across 50 acres, the manufacturing facility is 784,000 sq ft (equivalent to 14 football fields) and employs 1,000 people. In-house services include digital pre-press, plate making, press production, full service bindery, customer service and logistics services. With state of the art technology, along with Brown’s dedicated employees, the Waseca division print orders range, on average, anywhere from 30,000 to 2,500,000 copies per issue.
The headquarters functions, including IT, Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, Purchasing and the Paper Group are also located in Waseca and employ approximately 150 people. Sales and Marketing headquarters are located in New York City.
